Rex Ajayi, B.Sc. (Hons), M.B.B.S., F.R.C.S(c), D.A.B.U., F.I.C.S., F.A,C.S. Dr. Rex Ajayi earned his Bachelor of Science degree (Anatomy) in 1971 from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria and his Medical Doctorate degree (M.B.B.S) from the College of Medicine of the same university in 1974. While pursuing his medical doctorate degree, from 1971 to 1974, he was also an instructor in anatomy at the College of Medicine.
From 1974 to 1976, he was a rotating intern at both the Adeoyo Hospital in Ibadan and Our lady of Lourdes hospital, lhiala, Nigeria, serving for a period of one year in each hospital. In 1976, he arrived in St. Louis, Missouri where he did one year of general surgery internship. Thereafter, he moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada where he continued and completed his general surgery internship and urology residency at the Dalhousie University, Victoria General Hospital. From 1977 to 1981 he obtained his board certification from the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada - F.R.C.S(c) and also received a fellowship in Pediatric Urology at the lsaak Walton Children Hospital, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Also in 1983, he obtained the American Board Certification in Urology (D,A.B.U.) and also became a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons (F.R.C.S.). Since completing his formal urology training in 1981, Dr. Ajayi became actively involved with teaching. In 1982, he was appointed Assistant Clinical Professor of Urology at the Columbia University Medical School, New York, N.Y; a position he held until 1984 when he started a General Urology practice in Albany, Georgia. Dr. Ajayi practices all aspects of general urology, but has a special interest in the treatment of prostatic disease and tumors of the urinary tract, endoscopic management of urinary stone disease of the kidney/bladder, surgical procedure / Botox injections/Interstim procedure for the treatment of urinary incontinence, as well as surgery for stress in continence, erectile dysfunction, low testosterone, vasectomies and so much more.
Dr. Ajayi has proficiency in performing radioactive seed implants for prostate cancer, open surgical and minimally invasive surgical and non-surgical treatment of prostate cancer, kidney cancer as well as non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate. Many of the most common procedures are now done by him in his clinic, or, for the comfort and convenience of the patient, in his on-site Surgery Center, the South Georgia Urology Surgery Center. Dr. Ajayi has been an active member of the medical and civic organizations in his community and nationally. He is a member of the Dougherty County Medical Society, American Urology Association, The Southeastern American Urology Association, National Medical Association, Medical Association of Georgia, Sigma Pi Phi of USA and the Criterion Club of Albany. For the last three decades Dr. Ajayi remains active in the community by participating in health fairs, free health screening, giving talks on local radio and television stations to raise awareness on various urological conditions and treatment options.

Rodney K. SIAU, F.N.P.C.

Rodney Kenneth Siau MSN, CNS, APRN-BC, FNP-BC
Mr. Rodney Siau earned his Associate Degree in Science Nursing in 1990 from Darton College, Albany, Georgia. In 1993, he obtained a Bachelor Degree in Science Nursing from Georgia Southwestern College, Americus and in June 1998, the Master of Science Nursing degree from Albany State University. In December of the same year, he received a Master of Science degree in Family Nurse Practitioner from Albany State University.
Mr. Siau acquired several years of nursing experience from 1988 to 1998 by working in various departments, such as the surgical ICU, Hematology/Oncology units of Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Albany.
He joined the staff of South Georgia Urology Clinic in September 1998 with his wealth of experience as a Registered Nurse, certified in advanced cardiopulmonary life support. He is also a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner, a Critical Care Clinical /Surgical Nurse Specialist with a broad knowledge of electronic medical records and patient care systems. His transition into the practice of urology has been without a hitch.
Having trained and worked with board certified urologists, Mr, Siau has been exposed to and is interested in MI aspects of urology. He has acquired skills in the management of patients, adult and pediatric, with acute /chronic urological conditions. Some of the training and skills included exposure to all aspects of urological procedures and tests done in an office/clinic setting, such as urodynamics, urethral dilation in the male/female patient, insertion/removal of complex Foley catheters and so much more.
Mr. Siau continues to acquire post graduate education by maintaining active membership with the Society of Urological Nurses Association (SUNA), the Flint River Nurse Practitioner Association of Albany, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioner and also by habitually reviewing literature relevant to Urology.
Outside his normal work load, Mr. Siau is involved with healthcare screening activities in the various surrounding communities. Of note is his provision of care to the HIV/AIDS patients in the community and the Samaritan Clinic patients who usually have no healthcare insurance coverage.
For relaxation, Mr. Siau spends quality time with his wife and family and also trains with the local Brazilian Jiu-jitsu team.

Our private, independent Practice was founded in 1984 and since then, has maintained staff privileges with Phoebe hospital, the largest and the best medically equipped in the region.
